Space for Healing reflects Naomi Martin’s approach to all who seek her assistance, both in her work as a psychologist and as a yoga teacher. Her focus is to direct awareness on how to bring about change that can create greater harmony and meaning in individuals’ lives, whatever the goals and needs may be.
Space for Healing refers to the comfort and relaxation she creates in her consulting room and to encouraging clients to put aside time in their lives to reflect and “be still” so that solutions have the space to emerge. As a yoga teacher her emphasis is on “creating space” in the body to allow the breath to move more freely to create calmness and awareness and to release the tension and stress that is so much a part of our existence in today’s world.
Restorative yoga: Stretch, breathe, restore
Classes in 2018 are being held on three Saturdays per month.
Next classes : 5th, 12th and 19th May. See the “Yoga” page for more details.
Restorative yoga is deeply relaxing for both the body and mind, using props to enable you to remain in poses for longer periods of time. Rather than a more active yoga class, the asanas (poses) are carefully selected to enhance relaxation and calm. In our stressful lives, we often do not have the time to relax. These restorative classes are a wonderful opportunity for you to create the space in your life to be nurtured.
