What is very important for Naomi in her work with clients is to create a context where they feel comfortable to talk about issues of concern. In addition, having a collaborative relationship is of utmost importance to her.
These factors create the space where issues can be discussed, goals explored, and strategies devised for managing concerns.
Naomi has undertaken extensive training throughout her career as a psychologist, and utilises a variety of approaches in how she works with clients. The approaches used depend on the issues, what clients are comfortable with, and the knowledge and experience she has obtained over the years in developing evidence-based practices.
Thus, she draws on mindfulness, narrative therapy, hypnosis, cognitive restructuring and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)
